Condition Green:

Condition Green is the normal operating condition of a starship when operational. Standing down to Condition Green can be initialized by the CO or the XO. All systems are returned to normal mode and shields and weapons are returned to offline status. Condition Green is indicated by the secession of the colored lights and an audible notification.

Yellow Alert:

Yellow Alert can be initiated by the CO, XO, or senior bridge officer or the head engineering officer on duty. Upon initiation, standby generators are brought online, phasers are charged and torpedo launchers are loaded with full salvos and placed on standby. The tactical officer may raise shields if they notify the senior bridge officer. Condition Yellow is indicated by yellow strobes or lights in all compartments, 5-second klaxon sirens, and audible notification. All active team crewmembers immediately report to their duty stations. Non-active team crews are to ready themselves (wake/dress) and standby for further orders.

Red Alert:

Red Alert can be initiated by the Commanding officer, Executive officer or the senior bridge or the head engineering officer on duty. Upon initiation, shields are raised to maximum, the structural integrity field is raised to maximum, standby generators are brought online, phasers are charged, torpedo launchers are loaded with full salvos and armed. Red Alert is indicated by red strobes or lights in all compartments, 5-second klaxon sirens and audible notification. All crew report to either duty station or damage control stations immediately.

Condition Orange can be initiated by the CO, XO, Chief of Security, or the Marine Detachment Commander. When ship goes to Condition Orange, internal security is raised. Ship usually goes to Condition Orange after an intruder alert, an incident aboard ship (crewmember is injured/killed), some other extreme medical emergency, or a Fleet wide Emergency.

Condition Blue:

Condition Blue is initiated when a ship is entering a planetary body for the purpose of landing. It can be initiated by the CO, XO, or senior bridge officer on duty. When Blue Alert is activated, all impulse exhaust is secured and the ship operates on planetary thrusters only. Once landing is completed, the inertial dampening field is adjusted to the planet's rotation. Condition Blue is indicated by blue strobes or lights in all compartments, 7-second klaxon sirens and audible notification. All on-duty crewmembers are to report to their duty station and await further orders.Condition Blue is also initiated when the ship is cloaking and is initiated by the CO, XO, or senior bridge officer on duty.

Auto-Destruct:

To initiate the Self-Destruct sequence, computer verification of the CO and the XO of the ship must both authorize initiation of the sequence. If the Commanding Officer is confirmed by the computer to be unavailable, four of the remaining senior staff must authorize the sequence in addition to the XO. If the Executive Officer is confirmed to be unavailable, two of the senior staff must authorize the sequence as well as the CO.

Intruder Alert:

Intruder Alert activates Condition Red and security details are dispatched to every deck to intercept all intruders. Internal sensors are brought to full power and all vital systems are locked out to everyone but the Commanding Officer and all vital areas are secured. Intruder Alert can be initiated by any member of the crew.
